WORKING SITE SUPERVISOR

NOVERO Homes and Renovations is a full-service design and build team committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship across a wide range of construction projects. We are currently seeking a subcontracted Working Site Supervisor to join our dynamic team immediately.

With diverse project scopes, our work spans from Vancouver and the North Shore to the Tri-Cities and Abbotsford. You’ll be working with a dedicated team both in the office and on-site, gaining exposure to a variety of construction projects.

Position Overview

As a Working Site Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and managing projects from start to finish. This includes performing hands-on carpentry work, collaborating with the project manager, designers, and site team, and ensuring high-quality workmanship is maintained by managing subtrades.

The ideal candidate is organized, hard-working, and punctual, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise projects from inception to completion, collaborating with the project manager and design team to review plans and project tasks, ensuring the project stays on schedule and within budget
  • Perform hands-on carpentry work, including framing, forming, and interior finish carpentry alongside the team
  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and other team members to meet project needs
  • Inspect work quality and provide guidance to internal and subtrades to ensure high standards
  • Monitor project progress and report regularly on status and any potential delays
  • Ensure the job site remains clean, organized, and safe
  • Communicate project progress to senior management and report any issues or delays
  • Ensure that the site is organized, clean, and compliant with environmental standards
  • Resolve conflicts or issues that arise on-site and report major problems to management

Requirements:

  • 7–10 years of carpentry experience or equivalent formal carpentry education
  • Ownership of a reliable vehicle and carpentry tools
  • Experience in framing and finish carpentry within the residential sector is mandatory
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Current residence in Canada is required

EXPERIENCED CARPENTER

NOVERO Homes and Renovations is seeking an experienced carpenter to join our growing team. Our company specializes in major renovations – both commercial and residential – as well as new construction.

Position Overview
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Experienced Carpenter’s primary responsibilities include assisting the team with tasks for projects of all sizes.

The ideal candidate is hard working, organized, and punctual. As a tight-knit team, we’re looking for someone with honesty, integrity, and a team mindset. You’ll also bring an interest in learning and growing within the construction business.

A minimum of six years of carpentry experience or equivalent education in carpentry is necessary for this position. Knowledge or experience in framing and finish carpentry is preferred as you will be building custom decks and structures. You must also have the ability to read CAD drawings, building plans, and blueprints; and understand the process of managing a construction project.

This position requires owning a reliable vehicle, having a valid Canadian drivers license, owning basic carpentry tools.

You must be living in Canada. This is a position where you are working on the tools for large and small projects.

Applicants will be responsible for:

  • Understanding and having experience in interior and exterior finishing
  • Understanding how to fit and install doors, door frames, hardware; interior and exterior trim
  • Being knowledgeable and experienced in framing, decking railing and roof construction, finishing
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, CAD drawings, and building plans
  • Building custom decks and structures

Our company is a full-service design and build team focused on strong workmanship and specializes in major renovations – both commercial and residential – as well as new construction.

This exciting opportunity for a full-time labourer position is ideal for an individual who has a hardworking nature and is looking to gain experience within the residential construction industry, while working with experienced carpenters and site supervisors within the residential field on various sizes and design styles of projects.

As a family-based company, we’re looking for a dynamic individual who will complement our close-knit team. We also require a well-rounded team member who is passionate about carpentry, creating, building, and interior/exterior spaces.

The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills; and the ability to work independently or as part of a team alongside our project manager, designers, and site team. You must own a vehicle and your own tools. You also have an interest in learning and growing within the business and being a part of a great group of individuals.

Responsibilities

Successful applicants must have the following:

  • Pre-construction prep for job sites (ram board, countertop prep, protect rooms to prevent dust
  • Have knowledge and experience in interior and exterior framing and residential finish carpentry

Skills

Successful applicants must have the following:

  • Prior residential construction experience; proven experience as a helper
  • Minimum 1 year carpentry experience or equivalent education in carpentry – please provide your background details to be considered for this position
  • Be hard working, organized, reliable and punctual
  • Hands on experience and overall knowledge and comfort level in working with carpentry tools, machines and materials
  • Have an efficient understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction standards
