We have a unique opportunity for a full-time Construction Estimator, available immediately, based in our Port Coquitlam office. Since we’re a family-based company, we’re looking for a dynamic individual who will complement our close-knit team.


Position Overview

This role will be working closely with the President of NOVERO Homes to build relationships with prospective clients and secure new business for the team. The Construction Estimator will work with suppliers and vendors to qualify pricing, materials, labour, and equipment required to complete a project. This position requires a self starter, someone with a minimum of three years of related experience, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.



  • Meet new clients and prepare general estimates in an accurate and timely manner
  • Qualify customers needs, take preliminary measurements, and build out estimates to propose to clients
  • Tender documents for subcontract and supplier pricing
  • Review project/design/architectural drawings and material specification to generate pricing
  • Work with construction team to achieve what client is looking for
  • Prepare bid documents and understand various scopes of work
  • Work with design team to generate pricing for finishing materials and details
  • Perform detailed take-off from project drawings/site visits
  • Assist the construction team with management of construction projects and change order pricing
  • Must have a strong experience in applications to the city, working with engineers, architects and have a full understanding of interior and exterior renovations
  • Any administrative duties required by the office or construction team
  • Attend site meetings
  • Clear communication with the rest of the team on project bids and active projects



  • Certification within the construction industry
  • Minimum three years of experience working in the Lower Mainland construction market, specifically with residential renovations and new construction.
  • Familiar with Co Construction or similar program
  • Fluid in reading blueprints, design drawings, strong understanding with measurements, take offs
  • Exceptional communication skills for working with clients and internally with team and sub trades/vendors
  • Understanding of how to work with various personalities and how to explain the construction process to someone who isn’t familiar
  • Strong organizational, project management, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under tight timelines working effectively in a team environment
  • Must be comfortable using Mac computers and fluid with Microsoft Office
  • Must be be a strong problem solver

Position Overview

The Project Coordinator plays an important service-oriented role supporting the NOVERO team and encompasses a range of responsibilities.


The Project Coordinator plays an important service-oriented role as the central hub between design and the onsite crew.  The main role of this highly-organized individual is to coordinate the confirmed projects within the design phase, purchase materials, and coordinate to site based upon project deadlines.


The position requires a highly-efficient, focused individual who is able to coordinate multiple tasks and projects at any given time while providing a high level of service. This individual must have excellent attention to detail, be extremely organized, and ideally have experience in home design, materials, and construction.


Other qualities for the role include being a self-starter, working both independently and with a team. Previous experience as a project coordinator is required. High proficiency with Mac computers and computer applications such as Microsoft Office, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills, are necessary.


Role Duties:

  • Purchasing – Track and coordinate products to site
  • Product orders/Work orders – Work with design team on confirmed products and materials, place orders, update and maintain internal tracking; work with site supervisors/project manager on particular details
  • Showroom – Assist with walk-ins and maintain showroom space
  • Product inventory – Track stock in conjunction with accounting department
  • Work with design team to execute information to trades, e.g. drawings, tasks, site details
  • Work with our project management system, Co Construct, to update schedules and tasks
  • Reception – Receive packages, greet clients, answer phones
  • New meeting requests – Quote requests

NOVERO Homes and Renovations is looking for a lead carpenter to join our growing team. Our company specializes in major renovations, both commercial and residential, as well as new construction. The applicant must be living in Canada with a Canadian driver’s license.


Position Overview

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Lead Carpenter’s primary responsibilities include assisting the carpenters and site supervisors with project tasks. The ideal candidate is hard working, organized and punctual. Must work effectively alone as well as on a team in a fast-paced environment.


A valid drivers license and reliable transportation is required. Knowledge or experience in framing and finish carpentry is preferred. This position requires the candidate to own their own vehicle, own basic carpentry tools and have interest in learning and growing within the business. He/she must also have the ability to read drawings and blueprints.

Minimum six-year carpentry experience or equivalent education in carpentry is necessary for this position.

Applicants will be responsible for:

  • Building custom decks and structures
  • Framing, decking, railing, roof construction, finishing
  • Maintaining a clean worksite
