Our Story - Then
Our story begins in 1964 on the island of Isola d’Ischia, Italy. At just 17 years old, Guiseppe Di Meglio worked alongside his family, laying the foundation of a home that would become a symbol of their hard work and determination. With six years already spent in the building trade, Guiseppe approached the project with a deeply rooted philosophy: do things the right way the first time, to create something that will endure for generations.
When Guiseppe established his construction company in Vancouver, his reputation for integrity, hard work, and uncompromising standards had already made him a respected figure in the local industry. His son Joele was immersed in the family trade at just eight years old, stepping onto construction sites to learn the ropes and apprentice under his father’s watchful eye.
After years apprenticing with his father and acquiring his master craftsmanship, Joele struck out on his own in 2011. Building on his father’s foundation, he shifted the focus of his construction business to include a customer-first approach.

Building on these principles, Joele rebranded his home construction company in 2017 and infused NOVERO Homes & Renovations with a client-first philosophy. Beyond delivering exceptional customer service, our team focuses on creating a seamless and enjoyable experience from the first meeting to project completion and beyond.
We are dedicated to putting thought and care into each client’s space, as if it were our own home. With an emphasis on transparency, respect, and effective communications, we work to minimize stress and build confidence around construction projects by staying highly responsive and keeping clients informed throughout the process.

Novero means “group” in Italian, reflecting the company’s growth into a dynamic team of skilled tradespeople and value-driven professionals.
