Privacy Policy

Novero Homes and Renovations Ltd.

Effective Date: August 1, 2026

Novero Homes and Renovations Ltd. (“Novero Homes,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through noverohomes.com (the “Site”), how we collect, use, and share it, and the choices available to you. It applies to visitors to the Site and to anyone who contacts us through our online forms.

This policy is intended to comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable British Columbia privacy law, and, for visitors accessing the Site from Quebec, Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (including the amendments introduced by Law 25).

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide to Us

When you submit a quote request, contact form, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect:

  • Your name, phone number, and email address
  • Your property address, city, and postal code
  • Details about your project, such as the year your home was built, your desired budget, preferred timeline, and a description of the work you are considering
  • Photos you choose to upload
  • Any other information you include in a message to us

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you browse the Site, our web analytics tools automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site or search engine that referred you to us. We collect this information through Google Analytics and Google Search Console, described further in Section 2 below.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as health, financial, or government identification details) through the Site, and we ask that you not include this type of information in project descriptions or messages to us.

2. Cookies, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console

The Site uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to support basic Site functionality and to help us understand how visitors use our Site. Specifically, we use:

  • Google Analytics – to measure traffic, page views, and general visitor behaviour on the Site
  • Google Search Console – to understand how the Site appears in Google search results and to identify technical issues

These tools do not track you across other websites, and we do not use cookies for online advertising, retargeting, or ad personalization. The information collected is used in aggregate to help us understand and improve the Site; we do not use it to build individual advertising profiles.

You can control or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings, and you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) if you would prefer not to be included in Google Analytics reporting. Declining cookies will not affect your ability to browse the Site or contact us.

2.1 Additional Notice for Quebec Visitors

If you are accessing the Site from Quebec, provincial law requires us to obtain your affirmative consent before using cookies or similar technologies that could identify, locate, or profile you. Visitors browsing from Quebec will see a consent prompt before Google Analytics begins collecting information about their visit, and may choose to accept or decline it. If you decline, Google Analytics will not collect information about your visit, and your ability to browse the Site or contact us will not be affected. Google Search Console reflects data from Google’s own search index rather than tracking technology placed on individual visitors’ devices, so it is not affected by this consent requirement.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your quote requests, contact form submissions, and other inquiries
  • Schedule consultations and meetings related to your project
  • Communicate with you about your project
  • Understand how visitors use our Site so we can improve its content and performance
  • Meet legal, regulatory, insurance, or contractual obligations

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making, online behavioural advertising, or targeted advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Google, as the provider of Google Analytics and Google Search Console, solely to generate the website analytics described in Section 2
  • Service providers who support our business operations (for example, website hosting or email providers), who are only permitted to use your information to provide services to us
  • Subcontractors or trade partners, where necessary to quote or deliver a project you have requested
  • Regulators, law enforcement, or other parties, where required by law or to protect our legal rights

Any third party who receives personal information from us is expected to protect it and use it only for the purpose for which it was shared.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, complete a project, meet our legal and warranty obligations, or as otherwise required by law. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we securely delete or anonymize it.

6. How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information to protect it against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you and request access to it
  • Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Withdraw your consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of your information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions
  • Ask us to delete personal information we no longer need for the purposes described in this policy

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10 below. We will respond to your request within a reasonable time.

7.1 Additional Rights for Quebec Residents

If you are a resident of Quebec, you also have rights under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, including the right to be informed about, and to control, our use of technologies that identify, locate, or profile you, as described in Section 2.1 above. If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy request, you may also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information (CAI), whose contact details are provided in Section 10 below.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults seeking home renovation and construction services and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The “Effective Date” at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
