One of our favourite challenges is to make a smaller space smarter and feel more spacious. When this family of four decided to move into this Burnaby condo, NOVERO was enlisted to not only update the interior from the original builder-grade materials, but also problem-solve ways to make the space work better. After gutting the space, we started with the kitchen, creating a longer island to multitask as the main dining area, food prep space, and storage for the family. The white and gold colour scheme really brightens up the room, making it feel more expansive. The lighter-coloured flooring choice also helps rooms look bigger. In the master bathroom, the glass enclosed shower visually opens up the space. In the powder room, one side became a designated laundry area with cupboards to hold linens and laundry supplies right beside the double-stacker machines. Sliding barn doors on the bedrooms are another space saver.
