Mid-Century Modern Kitchen

Since this couple had been planning their kitchen renovation for two years, they came to NOVERO very well prepared—knowing exactly what they wanted, and sourcing all the materials on their own. We demo’d the existing kitchen, including plumbing, electrical, and flooring, and then prepped for the new build. A fresh layout was created with a larger island, custom cabinetry, and wood floating shelves built into the window recess. All-new plumbing and pot lights were installed, along with French doors and trim. The room’s showstopper is the Mid-Century modern-inspired tile backsplash. Our client had ordered three colours of handcrafted Fireclay tile in a 4x7 large diamond shape. She worked closely with our tile setter to create a very specific playful pattern that included tiling within the window recess. Another surprise element is the bold blue kitchen island, which adds a fun pop of colour to this unique space.
