If you haven’t heard by now, Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2019 is Living Coral. So, today we wanted to share with you 5 Ways to Incorporate Living Coral into You Home.
We enjoy featuring this each year in our blog, because it forces us to think outside the box. Our mantra is definitely quality + classic over trendy, but we still appreciate the latest trends in design because it keeps things interesting!
Odds + Ends
The BEST way to incorporate a trendy color (in our opinion) is with the little things. Throw pillows, a table lamp, a curated bouquet of flowers and anything else in between. These should be relatively easy to find throughout the year as many brands follow the same color forecasting system.
Not for the feint of heart, but definitely for the bold. If you’re not scared of a little color, than painting is one of the great ways to incorporate Living Coral into your home.
And a painted front door can be just as beautiful.
At the Tip of your Toes
Having a pop of color in your direct eye line may not be for you. This is when accent rugs prove their best qualities. Anchor a neutral space with something fun–and you just might surprise yourself.
Throw some shade
This one might be our favourite. It’s important to know that there are no rules when it comes to your space. Believe it or not, you’re allowed to interpret a color or trend however you please because at the end of the day–it’s you that has to live with it.
Play around with different shades and hues of Living Coral, and you’ll find a plethora of palatable colors to incorporate into your home. One of our favourite resources is the PANTONE Studio App. It’s addicting!
Mix + Match
We’re seeing a lot of designers pair Living Coral with other colors for unique and beautiful themes. Check out Pantone’s Palette Exploration for Living Coral here for ideas.
The options are endless!
