This builder-issue townhouse went from uninspired to elegant in a series of renovations. Downsizing from a family home, our clients desired a more luxurious residence. We upgraded the interior by designing a more refined space suitable for entertaining. Opening up the main floor by altering walls and hiding/removing bulkheads, we improved lighting and flow. The kitchen became the jewel of the home with sparkle, sophistication, and an understated elegance: here glamorous Cambria Britannicca waterfall countertops with dominant grey veining take centre stage. Muted colours contrast with rich brown hardwood floors and maple custom cabinetry throughout. We rebuilt the living room fireplace, framing it out, adding a new unit, and facing it with large format porcelain tiles. All bathrooms were gutted, building new vanities with maple millwork and integrating the neutral palette. In the master bath, the owner requested special details such as open cubbies, unique handle positioning, and scones within the mirror.
