Our empty-nester clients wanted a full upgrade of their Port Coquitlam master bath, making the space feel more contemporary. On the wish list: more storage, a larger shower, tub replacement, and heated floors.

Storage was quickly improved by building a larger vanity and adding three wood floating shelves above the toilet. We agreed upon a transitional style, blending some traditional elements with contemporary clean lines and a neutral colour palette. A Shaker-style white vanity, sleek white quartz counters, subtle tile colours, a glass shower, and streamlined fixtures come together in creating this understated, refined look. Simple embellishments to the bathroom include the unique textured Castlestone Muretto tile in soft colours; and the sculptural freestanding tub. The soothing, neutral palette carries through to the fireplace in the adjacent bedroom, where we added a 12x24 Novero white tile surround with a fir mantel.
