These clients moved to upsize their living space. Having a clear sense of style, they knew how they wanted to contemporize a dated townhouse. We removed a kitchen wall, creating room for a generous island and a more expansive space for entertaining. Paint-grade full-height custom cabinetry with a mix of panel profiles was built for ample storage. It includes custom units such as a utensil drawer, pan dividers, garbage roll out, and spice/oil roll outs. This kitchen exudes personality—the homeowners have expressed themselves through the use of strong lines, mixed materials, and colour: cabinetry painted in black and gray, Vicostone Altea countertops combining quartz and sand grains, thick open wood shelving, sculptural pendant lights, and a show-stopping white rhombus backsplash with gray grout. The downstairs bathroom was reconfigured, designed sleek and simple with smooth surfaces, clean lines, and high-tech lighting. Finally, we painted throughout, carpeted the stairs, added wood railings, and updated the front door.
