Modern Farmhouse Pantry

This client, who regularly hosts large families dinners, dreamed of a prep kitchen and pantry that was both practical and pretty. NOVERO transformed a storage closet adjacent to the kitchen to create a substantial pantry without breaking through any walls. With a long run of countertop for prep, custom cabinetry, dishwasher and bar sink, this space is now like a mini kitchen—with a door that can be closed on any mess. Wanting a fresh take on the Modern Farmhouse style, the client requested a 22-degree bevelled shaker cabinetry which we painted in Benjamin Moore’s Newburyport Blue. The white lantern mosaic backsplash, white countertop and white shelving really brighten the space. On a more practical level, we built thicker sturdy open shelving for heavier pieces and added adjustable shelving in cabinetry. An airy pendant, pot lights and under-cabinet lighting keep the pantry well-illuminated in the evenings.
