PROJECT DETAILS
When our clients purchased this Port Coquitlam house, they saw past the dated interior into its potential: a bright living space with a stunning vaulted wood ceiling. This original wood plank ceiling set the tone for the resulting organic modern interior, which features clean lines, slab surfaces, and a neutral palette.
Throughout the updated interior, white surfaces are juxtaposed with bold black cabinetry & hardware, warmed up with soft grays and wood. The extensive upgrade included all flooring, interior doors, casing, baseboards, and a few windows.
NOVERO designed and built the kitchen, three bathrooms, laundry, and walk-in bedroom closet. Retaining the kitchen ceiling eliminated the possibility of spacious floor-to-ceiling cabinets. Instead, the adjacent laundry room hold extra storage and the beverage fridge. The well-planned cabinetry in the master ensuite and main bathroom help maximize storage. For a cohesive look, the same quartz countertop (Silestone Eternal Statuario) is used throughout the home.
Highlights of this project include the herringbone millwork on the master bedroom door as well as the beautiful rift-cut oak floating perimeter shelves and cabinet fronts. The home is entirely functional while still feeling inviting and chic.
