We worked with this young family to turn their dream of a backyard pool into reality, transforming a basic East Vancouver yard of grass and concrete into an urban oasis with a splash of Palm Springs style.
The existing backyard was demolished, trenched, and completely redesigned to accommodate a plug-and-play Dunk Pool, hydraulic pool cover, and custom AZEK composite deck. Glass railings and brushed stainless steel hardware create a clean, modern pool setting, while 11 recessed LED lights add a warm, inviting glow after dark.
The renovation also made better use of the space beneath the existing upper deck. New siding and a soft yellow double door enclose the former carport, while an under-stairs nook provides a convenient spot for quick changes and storing pool towels. Once enclosed and framed, the garage also provided space for the relocated boiler and upgraded electrical equipment required for the pool.
The final touches that complete the backyard transformation are a 6-foot Venetian cedar fence painted light grey, and an automatic aluminum gate providing privacy and a polished finish to this family-friendly urban oasis.
