We worked with this client to turn the dream of a backyard pool into a reality for their young family. We transformed a basic East Vancouver backyard consisting of grass and a long cement driveway into an urban oasis with a splash of Palm Springs vibes.
The existing backyard was demolished, trenched, and redesigned to accommodate a ‘plug & play’ Dunk Pool, hydraulic pool cover, and custom Azek composite deck. Glass railings and brushed stainless hardware finish off the perfect pool setting, along with 11 LED recessed lights to illuminate and create a cozy appeal at night.
New siding and a double door painted in soft yellow enclose the former carport under the top deck. The family also gained an under-stairs nook for quick changes and pool towels. Once framed in, the garage could accommodate the relocated boiler and updated electrical for the pool. The final touch to this backyard oasis is the 6' Venetian cedar fence painted light grey and the automatic aluminum gate.
